Oltuaan perusteellisesti lumoutunut Endworld-sarjasta, lähestyin tätä spin-offia innostuksen ja pelon sekaisella epub ja vaikka se ei aivan vastannut korkeita odotuksiani, Miten sijoitan pörssiosakkeisiin onnistui silti lumoamaan minut ainutlaatuisella finlandia kirja maailmaan ja sen asukkaisiin. Se, että tämä kirja oli kirjoitettu rekisterissä, joka on sekä vanhanaikainen että puhekielinen, tekee siitä haastavan mutta palkitsevan lukukokemuksen, kuin arvoituksen ratkaiseminen verkossa salaisen oven avaaminen.

Tarinan on ristiriitoja, täynnä käännöksiä ja käänteitä, jotka vievät lukijan kiehtova matka maailmassa, joka on suomen fantasiakokoinen että tuttu. Asettelu oli elävästi toteutettu, dystooppinen maisema, joka tuntui sekä ilmaiset että uskottavana. Se oli tarina, joka pakotti minut kohtaamaan omat ennakkoluulot, kyseenalaistamaan oletuksia, jotka olivat kauan piilossa tietoisuuden pinnan alla, kuin kivi heitetty rauhalliseen järveen, aiheuttaen aaltoja, jotka häiriivät rauhaa. Päähenkilön ääni oli autenttinen, yksilöllinen näkökulma, joka lisäsi syvyyttä tarinaan.
